iSoftBet is looking for an experienced, yet hands-on Development Manager able to thrive in a fast-growing business where change is constant. You will have full responsibility for development squads, with the PO’s being your key stakeholders. Working with the Technology Leadership Team to manage the squads, ensure development standards are maintained by removing Technical Debt while balancing ‘as soon as possible’ delivery. Your primary measure of success is the delivery of working software. You will be an evangelist for Agile delivery.


  • Deliver working software
  • Provide short- and long-term goals for the squads
  • Ensuring blockers are managed with scrum masters or the PO’s
  • From the initial Epic scope to deploying the product, each step is your responsibility.
  • Delegate as much as you can but be ready to check that things are being done as you want and be ready to jump in if it is not.
  • Create Hypothesis Statements and Acceptance Criteria for every project/epic, as we’re agile these will be living things and maintained and updated as the work progresses.
  • For every Epic/ticket/story you undertake, it has at least an internal cost and at least one deliverable. You need to be able to negotiate with the stakeholders for everything you undertake.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Enable delivery of working software
  • Consistently improve squad throughput while reducing defect rates
  • Evangelise, contribute and challenge the plan for Next Generation Platform
  • Manage Tech Debt by maintaining a register and prioritise items. The work to reduce critical items.
  • Improving stability and platform resilience to human error or attacks
  • Create and maintain a roadmap enabling focus and transparency
  • Coach and mentor strong and competent Tech Leads for all squads, ensuring your time is available for planning and roadmaps.

  • Able to operate in all parts of the business and identify key drivers
  • Worked in Agile methodologies and know how to apply them.
  • Worked in a web-based, high transaction businesses. Ideally with a gaming background.
  • Able to articulate complex concepts to technical staff
  • You accept ownership of business problems, ensuring outcomes/delivery across multiple teams.
  • Able to articulate deliverables as ‘value streams’ and business outcomes.
