iSoftBet is looking for an experienced, yet hands-on Senior TechOps Engineer able to thrive in a fast-growing business where change is constant. You will have full responsibility for TechOps covering Datacenters, hypervisors, storage, networking and cloud. Providing operational support to ensure minimal customer impact. Advise on strategy and recommend technologies via an evolving roadmap.

Moving from startup to scaleup, we’re investing for the next stage of our growth. Our vision is to enhance our application platform making it capable of exponential growth to 15B transactions per month. To support these ambitious plans we need a modern and flexible platform (infrastructure, network and cloud) to scale with us. iSoftBet are looking for people who share our ambition and deliver business value using a flexible compute platform (on/off prem).


  • Manage datacenter and cloud infrastructure
  • Manage networking devices including switches, routers, firewalls
  • Manage network services e.g. VPN, SDWAN, MPLS, DDoS protection, load balancers and WAF
  • Manage infrastructure devices – servers, storage arrays and associated hypervisors and OS’s e.g. CentOS/Debian, KVM, VMWare 
  • Infrastructure services DNS, SSO, directory services, file and print, SIEM and log management
  • Hardware Monitoring – Zabbix, Prometheus/Grafana
  • Able to assist with infrastructure/application specific configurations and optimisations e.g. databases, message queues, frameworks for high-throughput write intensive workloads.
  • Ensure firmware and software patching is completed on a quarterly schedule to N-1
  • A key member of the security working group interpreting/applying policies and controls, assisting with audits to ISO27001 standards, collating logs, etc
  • Operate in a DevOps culture, ensuring maximum automation (e.g. IaC)
  • Maximise resilience, while balancing cost
  • Constant performance optimisation ensuring hypervisors, storage, loadbalancers are optimally balanced
  • Maintain your roadmap to deliver continuous improvements
  • Confident with business stakeholders from commercial, product, data and technical to understand their future needs.
  • Able to identify and highlight key risks

  • Maintaining a hardware/Software asset register

  • Migrate a legacy network design to modern approach suitable for automation
  • Upgrade VPN solution to cope with WFH culture and separate based on user roles
  • Understand our application stack to enable support and suggest improvements
  • Create and maintain a risk register of obsolescence and prioritise upgrade work
  • Review existing monitoring platform and upgrade where necessary
  • Perform architectural review of our servers, storage and applications and make recommendation on improving resiliency
  • Assist project delivery teams as SME on compute
  • Embrace DevOps culture and evangelise its benefits
  • Helping develop into service management model with ITIL frameworks on Incident/Problem/Change
  • Continuously improving – common requests are proceduralised allowing NOC or Configuration team to manage more requests, improving resolution 
  • Introducing CSI’s – constant service improvements
  • Measure success by trending KPI’s on availability, resilience and reducing business impact hours
